Non-Cookie Treats for the Holidays-image

Traditionally, cookies are the go-to for the holiday season. However, we here at your Arrive on Stout apartment community have never been ones to adhere to tradition. Sometimes it’s right to add a little variety to your life. So as the holidays start rolling around and you need something to impress your family and friends, try one of these three recipes we have listed here. Your Denver, CO holiday party will be off the hook in no time.   Christmas Light Cupcakes Try out one of these cute little cupcakes in what is sure to be a hit with friends and family of all ages. They are also super simple to make, and they only take 30 minutes to do. To make these delectable treats, you’ll need water, vegetable oil, eggs, heavy cream, cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, salt, decorating gel, and mini M&Ms to decorate as the lights.   Cranberry Marshmallow Fluff Salad When most people think of salad, they think of the gross green stuff. Worry no more! This is a salad that will satisfy any sweet tooth in the building. It’s perfect for entertaining large parties, since huge quantities of it are simple (and inexpensive) to make. For this recipe, be sure to get marshmallows, whipping cream, ground cranberries, sugar, a can of crushed pineapple, and chopped pecans.   Grinch Cake We all know the classic tale of the Grinch. He was a heartless monster in Whoville who just wanted to ruin the holidays, no matter what the cost. However, right when he has the prime opportunity to sabotage everyone’s fun, he doesn’t. It turns out there was a little bit of heart in him after all. Just like the Grinch, this cake has a little heart in it too. This fun design puts a colorful twist on a classic holiday pound cake. To make it, you’ll need two boxes of pound cake mix, a heart cookie cutter, red and green food gel color, a loaf pan, green and yellow frosting, and some colorful sprinkles for added decor. Once you make this cake, there’s no way anyone could steal away the holiday fun.   Maybe you like sticking with the classic cookies, or maybe you’re looking for something a little unique this year. Whatever you’re baking this year, be sure to share it with your friends and family. After all, that’s what the holidays are all about!

Welcome to the Arrive on Stout Blog-image

Welcome to the inaugural post for the Arrive on Stout Blog! Arrive on Stout is the premier luxury location for living in Denver, CO. In our first blog post, we wanted to address what this blog will cover. For the most part, we will be giving you three different kinds of blog posts: events, helpful tips, and lifestyle. Each of these will help you to enhance your experience here at our friendly apartment community, and ensure that you live to maximum comfort and luxury. First up, let’s talk about event posts. We keep you updated on all the important things happening around you, whether that be here at Drexel Ridge Apartments II or elsewhere in Denver. Maybe there’s a big sporting event coming up, or a local parade you may not know about, or maybe even a celebrity is coming to visit soon. For example, did you know that the Denver International Wine Festival is taking place from November 1 - 3? Well, you do now! Regardless of what it is, we’ll do our best to keep you up to date on the local happenings. Helpful tips are a broad range of posts that can be about anything from decorating to a new recipe that we tried. If we think of a way to improve your life, we want to share it with you! Also, if you ever have any helpful tips that you want to share with the community, be sure to post them in the comments. Good ideas come from everyone, and we want you to be involved in our process. Finally, lifestyle posts. Lifestyle posts will focus on ideas to improve your physical and mental health. Maybe there’s a new workout fad that’s sweeping the nation, or perhaps a new diet trend that we tried and loved. Also, did you know that meditating is one of the most helpful things you can do to stay mentally healthy and engaged? A lot of these ideas won’t work for everyone, but we figure that if we can do our best to improve the lives of our residents, it will be good for everyone. Thanks for taking the time to read our blog today. Be sure to check in periodically for all your updates. Have a great month!
